Welcome to the Art & Design Department

At Foyle College, all pupils in Years 8, 9, and 10 participate in Art and Design, fostering their personal and creative growth. Through research, hands-on experiences, and the use of both traditional and digital mediums, students develop their unique artistic voices.

They gain an appreciation for diverse artists, designers, and craftspeople from various cultures and eras, enhancing their creative and critical thinking skills.

GCSE Art and Design

Foyle College offers the CCEA Art and Design GCSE, a comprehensive two-year course designed to cultivate artistic talent and industry-ready skills.

  • Based on a stimulus paper released by CCEA.

A-Level Art and Design

Our CCEA A-Level Art and Design course equips students with essential transferable skills highly valued by employers, including creativity, problem-solving, resilience, and innovation.

AS Level
  • AS 1: Students conduct visual enquiries into diverse sources, techniques, and disciplines.
