Foyle College will be closed
Foyle College will be closed on TUESDAY 6th January. After this evening’s inspection of the school’s grounds, coupled with the extension of the yellow weather warning, we have taken the decision to remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday 6 January. This decision, made in consultation with Ebrington Primary School and Nursery Unit and the Principals within the Foyle Learning Community, has been taken to prioritise the safety of the Foyle Family. We anticipate reopening on Wednesday, 7 January. Parents and pupils will be advised that tomorrow should be treated as a home study day for pupils in Years 11 – 14, in advance of the commencement of their mock examinations next week.Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation and support.

SEAG Familiarisation
SEAG Familiarisation Evening – 22nd October We will host our Familiarisation Evening for pupils registered to sit the SEAG Entrance Assessment at Foyle College on 22nd October, across two sessions. The Schools’ Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG) will open an Emergency Registration Window for any parents that have missed the previous registration deadline. This will run from 08:00am on Thursday 16th October 2025 until 11:59pm Friday 17th October 2025

Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze Expedition
Congratulations to our Year 11 pupils who have successfully completed their Duke of Edinburgh Award Bronze Expedition.They endured wind, rain and a very cold night in their tents, but persevered right to the end.
Year 13 and Year 14 Prize Night

Senses in Biology.
Year 10 pupils have started their new topic of Senses in Biology. This week, they have enjoyed testing their sense of touch. Over the coming weeks they will be testing their senses of taste, smell, hearing and sight. A huge thanks to our Junior Science Technician for working so hard to put all these fun senses practicals together for the pupils.
Year 14 Biologists
Our Year 14 Biologists relished their visit to NWRC Community Education last week for a DNA Fingerprinting Workshop, as part of the Northern Ireland Science Festival. Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and were excited to extract, amplify and separate their own DNA. A huge thank you to the staff and pupils of NWRC for facilitating this brilliant workshop and allowing our Foyle Biologists to experience gene technology firsthand
