Named in honour of distinguished alumnus John Lawrence, 1st Baron Lawrence. Represents a heritage of leadership and tradition.

Named in honour of Mathias Springham, founder of the original Free Grammar School. A symbol of academic tradition.

Wearing Your Colours
The school tie is a symbol of pride. Each house is represented by a distinct coloured stripe, integrating your house identity directly into your daily uniform. This visual connection strengthens the bond between pupils and their house.
A Tradition of Leadership
Beyond the uniform, the House System offers vital leadership opportunities. Senior pupils can apply to become House Captains, acting as role models and organizers for younger students.
